Sal Buscema is a pharmaceutical and life sciences-focused commercial operations and recruitment leader with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling high-performing teams across biotech, pharmaceuticals, specialty therapeutics, and healthcare organizations. Throughout his career, he has helped companies drive growth through strategic hiring, commercial execution, and leadership development within highly competitive and regulated markets.
He has led commercial and hiring initiatives behind major healthcare brands including EpiPen, MUCINEX, and DELSYM, consistently delivering strong market growth and operational impact. His experience spans salesforce expansion, market access strategy, organizational buildouts, and leadership hiring across both emerging and established healthcare organizations.
As Managing Director of BNB Business Solutions, Sal partners with pharmaceutical and life sciences companies to build commercial organizations from the ground up. His work includes executive search, salesforce recruitment, organizational design, go-to-market strategy, and commercial operations consulting tailored to the unique demands of healthcare and life sciences environments.
Sal’s background includes senior leadership positions with Mylan, MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals, and Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, where he played a role in scaling commercial operations that ultimately contributed to a $2.3 billion acquisition. He is recognized for building teams that perform in complex, regulated markets, particularly across oncology, cardiology, specialty therapeutics, and rare disease.
