Job Description

Vice President, Enterprise Strategic Operations

Position Overview

The Vice President, Enterprise Strategic Operations is responsible for leading enterprise-wide operational strategy, optimization, and transformation initiatives across a complex, multi-business organization. This role focuses on global logistics, transportation and distribution strategy, enterprise network optimization, trade compliance, real estate and facilities planning, operational integrations and separations, shared services, and enterprise-wide productivity initiatives.

The Vice President serves as a strategic partner to business unit presidents and senior operational leaders, who retain responsibility for day-to-day operational execution, including manufacturing, sourcing, demand and supply planning, inventory management, and business unit operations. While business unit leaders drive operational performance within their respective organizations, the Vice President is accountable for identifying and executing enterprise-wide initiatives that create efficiencies, leverage organizational scale, improve financial performance, and support long-term value creation.

This position requires a hands-on, results-oriented executive who can operate at both a strategic and tactical level. The successful candidate will bring significant global logistics and distribution experience, a proven track record of enterprise network optimization, direct involvement in mergers and acquisitions, and the ability to deliver measurable financial results across complex, matrixed organizations.

Key Responsibilities

·      Establish and lead enterprise-wide global logistics, transportation, and distribution strategies aligned with organizational objectives and long-term growth.

·      Provide executive oversight of distribution centers, freight networks, carrier relationships, and transportation strategies to drive cost optimization, service excellence, and operational performance.

·      Direct enterprise network strategy and optimization, including facility consolidation, network redesign, shared services, and operational footprint planning.

·      Identify and champion opportunities to leverage enterprise scale, improve resource utilization, reduce costs, and maximize operational efficiencies across business units.

·      Establish enterprise performance standards, key metrics, and accountability measures to drive continuous improvement, productivity, and financial results.

·      Lead global trade compliance strategy, governance, and risk management, ensuring regulatory alignment and accountability across the organization.

·      Oversee enterprise real estate and facilities strategy, including site selection, consolidations, expansions, closures, and long-term facility optimization.

·      Champion enterprise-wide transformation, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives that strengthen operational capabilities and drive measurable value.

·      Provide strategic direction for technology, automation, AI, and process innovation to advance operational efficiency and enterprise performance.

·      Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, executive leadership, and business unit presidents, influencing enterprise priorities, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring successful execution of strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global logistics, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or enterprise operations.
  • Significant experience leading complex global logistics, transportation, and distribution operations.

·      Proven success developing and leading enterprise-wide network optimization, operational transformation, and strategic improvement initiatives.

·      Direct experience leading or supporting mergers and acquisitions, operational due diligence, integrations, carve-outs, and divestitures.

·      Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable financial results, including EBITDA improvement, cost reductions, productivity gains, and long-term value creation.

·      Experience leading complex, multi-business or multi-brand organizations, with the ability to influence business unit presidents, senior executives, and cross-functional leadership teams.

·      Strong understanding of global supply chain operations, logistics, distribution networks, trade compliance, and real estate strategy.

·      Proven experience implementing operational technology, automation, AI, and process improvements; exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle preferred.

·      Strong financial acumen, analytical capabilities, strategic planning skills, and the ability to translate enterprise strategy into measurable business results.

·      Excellent executive communication, relationship-building, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership capabilities.

·      Experience within consumer products, retail, consumer electronics, sporting goods, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred.

·      Private equity-backed operating experience strongly preferred, with familiarity in value creation planning, financial performance improvement, and investment-backed business environments.
