Position Overview


A well-established, mission-driven organization is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Sales to lead and scale a growing B2B revenue organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth across multiple products and service offerings, developing sales strategy, optimizing sales operations, and building a high-performance sales culture.

This role currently leads a team of five sales professionals with plans for continued expansion. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on sales executive with a proven track record of growing revenue, developing teams, and partnering cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities


Revenue Growth & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Lead the sales organization and provide executive leadership with clear visibility into pipeline performance, forecasting, revenue trends, and strategic opportunities.
  • Create a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, execution, and results.
  • Evaluate and optimize sales processes, CRM utilization, workflow efficiencies, and incentive structures.
  • Establish sales goals, activity metrics, quotas, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor pipeline health, conversion metrics, and sales effectiveness.
  • Personally engage in strategic prospecting, negotiations, and closing efforts for key opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships and increase revenue within existing client accounts.
  • Successfully navigate complex stakeholder environments while balancing organizational priorities and customer needs.

Marketing & Demand Generation Partnership

  • Partner closely with marketing leadership to align lead generation efforts with sales objectives.
  • Collaborate on customer segmentation strategies, campaign development, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, messaging, and target market effectiveness.
  • Leverage marketing analytics and funnel metrics to improve conversion rates and sales performance.

Customer Success & Retention

  • Partner with customer success and account management functions to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Drive initiatives focused on retention, expansion revenue, and reducing customer churn.
  • Utilize customer feedback and market insights to improve service delivery and overall customer experience.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top-performing sales talent.
  • Build scalable organizational structures that support continued revenue growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Establish clear career paths, performance expectations, and succession planning initiatives.

Analytics, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and executive reporting.
  • Deliver actionable business intelligence that supports strategic decision-making.

Strategic Planning

  • Monitor competitive activity, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Provide input on pricing strategies, packaging, customer acquisition initiatives, and growth opportunities.
  • Participate in annual planning, budgeting, and long-term strategic initiatives.


Qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, business development, or revenue leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience collaborating closely with marketing organizations to optimize lead generation and conversion performance.
  • Experience managing and scaling sales organizations through periods of growth is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in B2B sales methodologies and CRM platforms.
  • Understanding of demand generation, digital marketing, and lead nurturing strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience utilizing data to drive business decisions.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a results-oriented approach.
  • Experience presenting business performance and strategic recommendations to senior executives and boards is preferred.

Work Environment
