National Foodservice Sales Manager / Business Development Director
(Title flexible based on experience and relationships)

United States — preference for East Coast candidates (NJ / NY / FL), but open nationally.
Remote / Hybrid with travel to distributors, operators, trade shows, and customer meetings.
About the Opportunity
An established international food manufacturer with a rapidly expanding U.S. presence is seeking a highly connected foodservice sales leader to drive growth across the HoReCa and distributor channels.
This is a high-impact, growth-focused role for a true hunter who already has established relationships within major foodservice distributors and operator networks. The organization has significant operational support, an established global supply chain, and a broad product portfolio already proven in international markets.
The right individual will have the ability to move quickly, open doors immediately, and build meaningful revenue within the U.S. foodservice channel.
This is not an account management or maintenance role — it is a strategic business development position focused on market expansion and revenue growth.
Target Channels
This role will focus on expanding distribution and operator penetration across:
- Major foodservice distributors
- (Sysco, US Foods, Performance Food Group, Gordon Food Service, Jetro/Restaurant Depot)
- Restaurant groups and chains
- Hotels, catering organizations, airlines, sushi concepts, and other multi-unit operators
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new foodservice distributor partnerships
- Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate onboarding and sales growth
- Introduce products to culinary, procurement, and category management teams
- Manage the full sales cycle:
- samples → pricing → menu testing → contracts → volume expansion
- Support operator activations, tastings, culinary presentations, and trade events
- Drive distributor engagement and sell-through initiatives alongside field sales teams
- Identify strategic growth opportunities within national and regional accounts
- Provide sales forecasting, pipeline visibility, and market intelligence to executive leadership
Ideal Background
Required Experience
- Proven success selling into foodservice / HoReCa / distribution channels
- Existing relationships within major foodservice distributors
- Demonstrated ability to open accounts and close business independently
- Strong negotiation and business development skills
- Experience introducing products into restaurant or operator environments
- Entrepreneurial, hunter-driven mindset with a strong sense of urgency
Preferred Experience
- Experience launching imported or emerging food brands in the U.S.
- Background in seafood, appetizers, frozen foods, dumplings/gyoza, or related categories
- Experience working with multi-unit restaurant operators or national accounts
