Job Description

Lead Manufacturing for High-Tech, Custom-Built Systems (Not Mass Production) Manufacturing / Production Manager | High-Complexity Builds

Upstate NY (Syracuse, Onsite) | $140–175K + 19% Bonus

This is not an assembly-line role. We’re partnering with a global, engineering-driven manufacturer building low-volume, highly complex systems used in advanced technology applications.

They’re hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Leader to drive operations, improve throughput, and develop a strong, experienced team—while staying close to the floor.

What You’ll Do
  • Own production: planning → scheduling → execution → delivery
  • Lead supervisors and cross-functional production teams
  • Drive Lean / continuous improvement (quality, flow, throughput)
  • Partner with Engineering on builds, changes, and new products
  • Use KPIs to improve performance and eliminate bottlenecks

What You Bring
  • Engineering degree (required)
  • 7–10+ years in manufacturing leadership
  • Background in high-mix / low-volume / complex builds
  • Hands-on leader—comfortable on the floor, not just behind a desk
  • Experience developing teams and leading through influence
  • Lean / CI exposure (LSS Green/Black Belt a plus, not required)

Why This Opportunity
  • Complex, technical products—not repetitive manufacturing
  • Clean, modern facility with a strong, tenured team
  • High visibility to leadership
  • Clear path toward broader operations leadership

If you’re in high-volume manufacturing and want something more technical—or already in complex manufacturing and want more ownership—this is worth a conversation.
