Director of HR Operations

(Right hand person to SVP of HR)


Work Arrangement: Onsite Monday through Thursday, remote Fridays

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90045

Compensation:$92,000 to $145,000 base salary


About the Role


We are seeking a Director of HR Operations to lead and optimize HR processes across the employee lifecycle. This role combines hands-on execution with process improvement, systems management, and strategic HR support.


You will partner closely with leadership to drive HR initiatives across compliance, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and training, while ensuring efficient and scalable HR operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations, policies, and compliance
  • Administer and improve HR systems, including Paycom and Lattice
  • Lead process improvements and enhance HR workflows
  • Serve as a key resource for employee relations and workplace investigations
  • Manage performance review processes and support leadership on best practices
  • Support compensation analysis, salary structures, and annual planning
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Administer workers’ compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work efforts
  • Design and deliver employee and manager training programs
  • Manage HR vendors and support cross-functional HR initiatives


Qualifications

  • 5 to 10+ years of progressive HR experience across operations or generalist functions
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and employee relations
  • Experience with HRIS and performance management tools, ideally Paycom and Lattice
  • Proven ability to improve processes and manage projects
  • Experience handling investigations and performance management
  • Exposure to compensation analysis and workers’ compensation
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
