Our client is at a critical inflection point as we accelerate the migration of our customer base from on-premise deployments to cloud-based SaaS solutions. This shift fundamentally changes how our customers operate and how our client delivers value—requiring stronger guidance, governance, and end-to-end orchestration across the customer lifecycle.
To support this transformation, our client is building a Cloud Transformation capability within the Customer organization, reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer. This function ensures enterprise customers successfully migrate to and operate in the cloud, with predictable outcomes, reduced risk, and strong long-term adoption.
This team partners closely with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, Support, and external partners to deliver scalable and repeatable migration outcomes for complex, enterprise-level customers.
The Cloud Delivery Assurance Executive is responsible for designing, leading, and operationalizing our client's enterprise cloud migration and transformation strategy. This leader will own the end-to-end transformation journey from sales through delivery, ensuring that cloud migrations are executed with the right readiness, architecture, governance, and partner model to deliver successful outcomes for customers.
This role combines strategic leadership, technical fluency, and cross-functional governance, acting as the central authority for cloud migration readiness, deal validation, and transformation execution. The leader will establish scalable playbooks, define standards, and enable our client to migrate complex, highly customized customers to the cloud with confidence and consistency.
- Define and own our client's enterprise cloud migration strategy across customer segments (e.g., Lift, Modernize, Transform).
- Establish cloud readiness standards, migration eligibility criteria, and governance frameworks.
- Act as the accountable owner of transformation outcomes across the customer lifecycle (sales delivery → post go-live).
- Serve as executive escalation point for high-risk or complex cloud migrations.
- Establish required pre-sales readiness assessments for complex customers.
- Define and enforce deal gating processes, including: technical feasibility validation; performance and scalability assumptions; and customization and integration risk.
- Partner with Sales to guide customers toward the right cloud approach and set realistic expectations.
- Ensure cloud deals are structured for successful delivery and long-term customer outcomes.
- Develop and maintain standardized migration playbooks, including migration approaches (phased, coexistence, full cutover), customization remediation frameworks, data migration and cutover strategies, and hypercare and adoption models.
- Establish consistent documentation standards, artifacts, and customer journey touchpoints.
- Drive repeatability and scalability across all migrations.
- Partner with Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams to define performance and scalability benchmarks, security and regulatory standards, and testing requirements and validation frameworks.
- Ensure assumptions are documented and validated prior to go-live.
- Define go-live readiness criteria and risk thresholds.
- Establish criteria for engaging system integrators and transformation partners.
- Define structured engagement models and responsibility splits between our client's delivery teams, partners, and customers.
- Align partner involvement based on customer complexity, transformation needs, and customization footprint.
- Ensure seamless orchestration across Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
- Establish governance cadence for enterprise migration programs.
- Ensure alignment to approved migration strategy and milestones.
- Support direct engagement with customer executives (CIO, CTO, business leaders).
- Capture lessons learned from each migration to refine playbooks and processes.
- Feed recurring gaps and customer pain points into Product and Engineering roadmap.
- Continuously improve our client's cloud transformation maturity and delivery model.
- Establish metrics and reporting for migration success, risk, and customer outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, SaaS, or cloud environments.
- 5+ years leading complex cloud migrations or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience working with highly customized, enterprise systems transitioning to SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and SaaS operating models; Performance, scalability, and data migration considerations.
- Experience working across pre-sales, delivery, and customer success organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience working with system integrators.
- Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong change management and organizational transformation experience.
- Experience in financial services, lending, leasing, or other regulated industries.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
- Background at a leading SaaS provider (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle, SAP) or major SI.
- Experience building transformation programs, playbooks, or governance models from the ground up.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms, cloud migration tooling, and performance testing frameworks.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, high-growth environment with evolving processes and structures.
