Financial Analyst
Hybrid - 1 day/week Tempe office
The Financial Analyst will join the finance team and report to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager. This role is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, supporting the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, maintaining and improving FP&A tools, processes, and data, and partnering with product and business leaders to deliver financial insights that support performance management, planning, and informed decision‑making across the organization.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reporting, and executive reporting packages
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including variance analysis and insights
- Develop and maintain monthly product and business performance reports and scorecards linking financial and operational data
- Partners with product and business teams to provide financial analysis, recommendations, and support for budgeting, investment, and product decisions
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models by organizing and analyzing data from multiple sources
- Manage and continuously improve FP&A systems, tools, processes, and reporting templates to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, streamline processes, and continuously learn and grow
- Strong financial modeling skills with demonstrated quantitative and analytical capability
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable preparing and presenting analysis to senior-level management
- Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with PowerPoint; Power Query a plus
- Experience using SQL to extract and analyze financial data from relational databases a plus
- Experience with budgeting, reporting, planning, and/or BI tools strongly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plus
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or related experience
Required Experience
- 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant analytical experience
- Not-for-profit finance or accounting experience is a plus
