We are seeking a production-focused BIM Specialist to join our Precast Division. Unlike a traditional structural design role, this position lives in the "gritty" details of manufacturing. You won't just be drawing building layouts; you will be responsible for taking models to LOD 400 and generating the high-precision documentation required for factory fabrication.
- Production Modeling: Create highly detailed 3D models (LOD 400) for precast components including hollow-core, beams, columns, and insulated wall panels.
- Fabrication Documentation: Generate accurate Individual Piece Tickets , hardware cut sheets, and Bill of Materials (BOM) directly from the model.
- Embed & Hardware Detailing: Model every lifting insert, stripping loop, plate, and stud to exact manufacturer specifications to ensure zero-clash production.
- Plant Coordination: Perform "Stripping and Handling" analysis within the model to ensure panels can be safely lifted, flipped, and shipped.
- Quality Control: Act as a "Checker" for shop drawings, ensuring all dimensions and reinforcement layouts meet PCI/CPCI standards before they hit the plant floor.
- Manufacturer Pedigree: Minimum 3+ years of experience working directly for a Precast Manufacturer or a Specialty Precast Detailing firm.
- Software Mastery: Power-user status in Revit (LOD 400 focus) or Tekla Structures . Experience with Concise Beam or EDGE is a significant plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Prestressed/Precast physics, including reinforcement detailing and connection hardware.
- Deliverable Expert: Proven track record of producing fabrication-ready shop drawings (not just "design intent" or "EoR" drawings).
