Job Description

Our client is a premier manufacturer of safety and pressure‑relief valves for the last 47 years.


They are looking for a Plant Controller who will execute all the Accounting/Finance functions of the organization.


This position is primarily responsible for the commercial finance support of a stand along business unit, as well as planning, organizing, and controlling the accounting and internal control functions of the company. The ideal candidate will have an established working knowledge of accounting procedures, including production of financial statements, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.


Other duties include involvement in Human Resources and IT functions of the Business Unit

Verifiable accounting expertise and experience is required to successfully maintain a high level of accuracy and to address complex accounting issues when they arise. The Controller will monitor all financial activities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, Federal and State governments, and taxing authorities.

They will work closely with the company’s executive team, providing strategic financial input towards company goals and opportunities.


Responsibilities :


Manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.

 Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation of all company transactions; reviews entries to the general and sub-ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and company policy.

 Manages and maintains a monthly accounting close process, preparing financial statements timely and presenting to management.

Manage the month end close process and coordinate with other business units and operations to ensure accurate and on-time monthly close and reporting

Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and forecasts to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights that contribute to the organization's financial health.

 Partner with the CFO to manage daily treasury and cash management functions to maximize cash flow and capitalize on any investment opportunities.


 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a minimum requirement.
