Director, Sales (SaaS)
Location: Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zones preferred)
We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and expand our sales function. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing B2B SaaS company that is a leader in the HR technology space. You'll be a key player in driving revenue growth by acting as a player-coach—carrying a personal quota while also building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing sales team.
Prior management title and experience not required. Have you mentored a sales team in the past, and ready for the next step, they are willing to train you on the management aspect of the position, if you bring solid sales experience to the table!

What You'll Do
- Player-Coach: Initially, you will lead by example, personally prospecting, closing deals, and managing your own book of business while building out the sales team.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor our current Account Executives, providing clear goals and coaching to drive performance.
- Process Ownership: Establish and refine the sales process, from lead qualification through close, ensuring a repeatable and scalable approach.
- Pipeline & Strategy: Collaborate with marketing to build a strong pipeline, ensuring alignment on ideal customer profiles and target accounts. You'll report directly to the CEO, providing clear visibility into pipeline, forecasts, and sales performance.
- Team Building: Hire, onboard, and develop additional sales roles as the company scales, fostering a culture of accountability and results.
What You'll Bring
- Experience: 8+ years of success in B2B SaaS sales, consistently meeting or exceeding quota. You have a proven track record of selling to mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Player-Coach Mentality: Demonstrated ability to both sell and manage—you're comfortable carrying a quota while coaching others.
- Process-Driven: Proven ability to build sales processes and teams in a scaling environment.
- Technical Savvy: Experience with relevant CRM, sales automation, and coaching tools like Hubspot, Sales Navigator, Gong, and Gong Engage.
- Leadership: Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a hands-on approach. You thrive in both strategy and execution.
