The VP of Sales will be tasked with building, and driving sales performance to consistently exceed targets and reinforce Supersmile's undisputed position as the leader in premium oral care.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive sales strategy, including robust plans and accurate forecasts, to achieve and exceed sales targets, market share growth, and profitability, in full alignment with Supersmile's overall business objectives.
- Sales & Business Development Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and hands-on optimization for all sales functions. This includes proactively identifying and cultivating new high-potential market opportunities, expanding distribution channels, and forging strategic, mutually beneficial sales partnerships that accelerate top-line revenue growth.
- Premium Retail Channel Expansion & Optimization: Drive significant sales growth and deepen collaborative relationships with existing premium retail partners. Actively identify, pursue, and secure new, high-value retail distribution avenues that align with our brand's luxury positioning.
- Professional Channel Development: Strategically develop and execute initiatives to expand sales within the professional dental community, including direct sales to dental practices, DSOs (Dental Service Organizations), and specialized distributors, fostering long-term relationships.
- E-commerce Sales Acceleration: Lead efforts to drive substantial direct sales growth in the e-commerce channel. Focus relentlessly on conversion rate optimization, increasing average order value, reducing customer acquisition costs, and enhancing repeat purchases through data-informed sales strategies specific to the digital landscape.
- International Sales Expansion & Management: Identify, evaluate, and lead direct sales efforts for global market penetration. This involves adapting sales strategies for cultural nuances, local market dynamics, and regulatory requirements to drive sustainable international sales revenue.
- High-Performance Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, motivate, and manage a high-performing and agile sales organization. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, sales innovation, and unwavering customer-centricity, ensuring the team is equipped to meet evolving market demands.
- Sales Performance Analytics & Reporting: Establish, rigorously monitor, and report on key sales performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics (e.g., pipeline velocity, win rates, territory performance, forecast accuracy). Develop accurate and actionable sales forecasts, manage departmental sales budgets effectively, and provide regular, insightful, and data-driven performance reports to the CEO and leadership team.
- Sales Operations & CRM Excellence: Oversee sales operations, including comprehensive pipeline management, continuous sales process optimization, and the effective utilization of CRM systems (Netsuite) to enhance sales efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness across all segments.
- Market & Product Insights: Serve as a critical conduit between the market and internal teams. Collaborate actively with marketing, product development, and R&D to provide crucial sales-driven market insights and direct customer feedback that inform product enhancements, guide new product introductions, and ensure market fit.
- Cross-functional Synergies: Work closely and collaboratively with marketing to ensure sales efforts are fully integrated with brand messaging, campaign strategies, and lead generation initiatives. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product delivery, inventory management, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive experience in senior sales leadership roles(e.g., VP of Sales, National Sales Director, Head of Sales) within the consumer goods (CPG) sector, with an explicit strong preference for experience in premium beauty, luxury health & wellness, or oral care.
- Demonstrated proven track record of significantly scaling sales revenue for high-growth brands across multiple, complex channels, including direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce, traditional prestige retail, and professional/B2B segments.
- Extensive experience managing and growing diverse sales streams, showcasing the ability to adapt strategies to different market dynamics.
- Proven success in international sales expansion and navigating global market entry strategies is a significant plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
