Director of Marketing - MaintStar

Location: Open / Remote (U.S.)

Reports to: Executive Leadership

Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 base salary + performance-based incentives

Position Overview

MaintStar is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead demand generation and go-to-market execution within the GovTech sector. This role is responsible for driving qualified pipeline growth, strengthening MaintStar’s market position, and supporting sales efforts targeting municipal and government decision-makers.


The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of marketing to government entities, understands public-sector buying cycles, and demonstrates consistent career tenure with long-term impact in prior leadership roles.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute MaintStar’s demand generation strategy to drive pipeline and revenue growth
  • Develop and lead integrated marketing campaigns targeting local, state, and federal government buyers, with a strong focus on municipalities
  • Partner closely with Sales to align messaging, lead qualification, and pipeline acceleration
  • Lead digital marketing initiatives including email, paid media, content, webinars, events, and marketing automation
  • Support account-based and territory-based marketing strategies aligned to government sales models
  • Develop clear, compelling messaging that communicates MaintStar’s value proposition to public-sector stakeholders
  • Measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI
  • Manage marketing vendors, agencies, and technology platforms
  • Ensure brand consistency, credibility, and compliance across all government-facing channels

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership of people or core marketing functions
  • Direct experience in marketing GovTech solutions or selling into government entities
  • Strong demand generation expertise within a B2G or public-sector sales environment
  • Proven experience marketing to city, county, or municipal decision-makers
  • Demonstrated career stability with meaningful tenure and sustained contributions in prior roles
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and execution skills
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing enterprise software or SaaS solutions in the government sector
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and long, complex sales cycles
  • Experience supporting account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives
