Job Description

Position Summary

The Director of Marketing is the primary internal marketing leader for a fast-growing edge data center company. This role is responsible for all demand generation, acquisition, digital marketing, brand awareness, and marketing operations, serving as the sole internal resource overseeing a modern, high-output marketing function.

This individual must combine hands-on execution with cross-functional collaboration, driving measurable pipeline, revenue impact, and brand visibility. The role requires strong expertise in paid media, SEO, content, analytics, marketing automation, events, and brand positioning.

You will define the ValorC3 Data Center brand, build and execute integrated acquisition programs, develop digital content that shapes the market, and manage an efficient marketing engine aligned with aggressive growth goals.

Responsibilities

1. Demand Generation & Acquisition

• Build and execute multi-channel acquisition strategies focused on generating leads, bookings, SQLs, and opportunities.

• Own paid media campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, and industry platforms (DatacenterHawk and Datacenter.com).

• Implement SEO and content strategies that drive organic pipeline.

• Develop performance dashboards and report on CPL, CPSQL, cost per booking, cost per opportunity, and ROI.

• Manage landing pages, conversion flows, A/B testing, and lead scoring.

• Create and manage integrated campaigns that support sales goals and shorten sales cycles.

• Serve as the marketing lead for channel ecosystems, including Technology Solutions Distributors (TSDs), brokers, technology partners, alliance partners, and MSPs—developing co-marketing programs, joint campaigns, enablement assets, and partner-driven demand generation.

2. Brand Strategy & Awareness

• Define, articulate, and evolve ValorC3’s brand positioning, messaging, and differentiation.

• Build top-of-funnel awareness programs across paid, owned, and earned channels.

• Oversee PR initiatives, industry communications, analyst relationships, and key sponsorships.

• Ensure brand consistency across web, digital, content, presentations, and events.

3. Digital Marketing, Product Marketing & Content Development

• Own website strategy, structure, UX, SEO optimization, and content performance.

• Write or oversee high-impact content, including web pages, case studies, whitepapers, blogs, product one-pagers, solution briefs, release notes, and thought leadership.

• Develop competitive messaging frameworks, product positioning, launch materials, feature narratives, and external collateral.

• Produce or manage creative assets: graphics, videos, campaign visuals, event materials.

4. Events, Field Marketing, Executive Programs & Sponsorships

• Plan and execute ValorC3 presence at industry events (PTC, DCD, ITW, Channel-focused shows) and regional market events (Interface, Chambers of Commerce, technology associations).

• Run customer, partner, and community events that drive awareness and warm pipeline, including executive selling programs such as advisory boards, CIO dinners, and strategic customer forums.

• Manage event budgets, logistics, messaging, creative, and post-event follow-up.

5. Marketing Operations & Analytics

• Own all marketing systems, including HubSpot, CRM integrations, reporting, analytics, and attribution.

• Manage databases, lists, segmentation, nurture flows, and automation workflows.

• Establish measurable success metrics and oversee ongoing reporting cadence.

• Build predictable funnel models aligned with sales, revenue targets, and market expansion.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

• Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to ensure alignment on ICP, market segments, and messaging.

• Lead external agencies, contractors, and freelancers for design, content, paid media, and production.

• Communicate effectively with executives and board-level stakeholders.

·  Collaborate with Sales Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Business Operations, and Finance to optimize the Lead to Cash business process and customer journey.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of marketing experience in data centers, colocation, cloud, managed services, network infrastructure, or B2B technology.

• Proven experience in demand generation, paid media, SEO/SEM, content strategy, digital funnels, and acquisition analytics.

• Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on, full-stack marketer—from strategy through execution.

• Proficiency with HubSpot, analytics tools, marketing automation, CRM systems, attribution, and reporting.

• Strong copywriting and content development skills across web, email, thought leadership, and campaigns.

• Experience managing events, sponsorships, and field marketing programs.

• Ability to create clear ROI models, funnel metrics, and business cases.

• Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of supporting executive and board-level engagements.

·  Travel up to 25% for executive and regional event support.

Preferred Skills

• Strong product marketing capabilities to support the launch of new services and expansion into new geographies—including positioning, value propositions, competitive analysis, pricing/packaging strategy, buyer personas, GTM strategy, launch playbooks, and customer-facing enablement.

• Experience leading Channel & Alliances Marketing, serving as the primary marketing interface for TSDs, brokers, MSPs, technology partners, and alliances, including co-marketing, joint GTM programs, MDF planning, partner enablement, and partner-led demand generation.

• Proficiency with modern AI tools for marketing, including AI-driven content creation (ChatGPT, Jasper, Gemini), AI analytics and attribution, predictive lead scoring, and AI-based SEO/SEM optimization.

• Experience in competitive intelligence, market research, segmentation, and messaging architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud, private/public compute architectures, and digital infrastructure ecosystems.

• Sales methodology familiarity (MEDDPICC).

• Ability to lead creative development and brand-level messaging.
