HR Specialist /Generalist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Specialist to join our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human resources processes and procedures, with a focus on managing employee relations, recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The HR Specialist will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring operational efficiency.


Role Responsibilities:


TALENT ACQUISITION
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment:
  • Create and manage job postings
  • Screening interviews
  • Onboarding
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to streamline recruitment, source candidates, and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Conduct background checks and manage the offer process.


ADMINISTRATION and COMPLIANCE
  • Establish and maintain personnel records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment laws.
  • Responsible for the completion of onboarding/offboarding procedures and providing HR-related support.
  • Support performance management, including goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Create staff schedules
  • Perform payroll preparation
  • May serve as backup for payroll during the Practice Manager’s vacation.


BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION
  • Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance on health insurance, retirement plans, workers’ compensation, and Open Enrollment (OE).


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or elated field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role in a healthcare or medical practice setting.
  • Ability to problem solve, conflict resolution, strategic planner, active listener
  • EMR understanding - Athena - preferred but not required
