Job Description

Position Summary

As Director of Design, you will shape the creative vision of our product portfolio, bringing to life an ecosystem that is both desirable and deeply aligned with our customers’ lifestyle.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a designer with sharp creative sensibility and the ability to think systemically, design elegantly, and deliver with precision. You will translate our brand strategy into products that are emotionally resonant, commercially successful, and cohesive in language and form—anchored in a modern point of view that feels current but never chases trends.

We are looking for a leader who is not only product-focused, but also strategically minded and deeply consumer-focused—someone who understands how to turn lifestyle insights into compelling design, and how to connect individual products to a broader narrative that resonates with our evolving audience.

Reporting to the VP of Product Development, you will oversee seasonal launches, refresh core assortments, and introduce new collections that reflect our vision of accessible luxury. Beyond creating products, you will be curating taste, advancing our design culture, and elevating how our brand is experienced in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and elevate a cohesive design language that unites the full product ecosystem—ensuring aesthetic harmony, emotional resonance, and strategic clarity across all categories.
  • Articulate the essence of each product concept—its purpose, meaning, and role within the broader brand narrative.
  • Design seasonal product assortments that reflect a deep understanding of our customer’s lifestyle and our vision of accessible luxury.
  • Develop seasonal launch cadences in partnership with leadership to drive momentum and brand clarity.
  • Lead product creation—from early sketch to prototype to production—across industrial, soft goods, and hybrid categories.
  • Shape collections with coherence and distinction, using materials, form, usability, and CMF to achieve consistency and refinement across product families.
  • Refresh and refine existing assortments, introducing new colors, finishes, and packaging updates that maintain relevance and desirability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Engineering, Marketing, and suppliers to bring thoughtful, manufacturable designs to market.
  • Ensure excellence in usability, craftsmanship, and quality standards across all touchpoints.
  • Support trend analysis, consumer insight, and storytelling, ensuring design remains aligned with both aspiration and market opportunity.
  • Clearly communicate design intent through compelling sketches, renderings, and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel as needed, with flexibility to spend additional time at our headquarters during the initial phase of the role.
  • 7+ years of experience in product, industrial, or soft goods design, with a clear record of leadership and impact.
  • Proven experience designing product collections and assortments that have achieved commercial success.
  • A strong understanding of the aspirational lifestyle consumer, with the ability to translate insights into thoughtful, resonant product design.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating beautiful functionality, creative sensibility, and a cohesive design language across multiple product families.
  • Background in luxury goods or a comparable design-led category where craftsmanship, emotional connection, and customer experience are paramount.
  • Deep knowledge of design processes, materials, manufacturing, and CMF (color, material, finish) trends.
  • Strong skills in sketching, rendering, and prototyping to communicate design intent.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Development, Engineering, and Marketing teams to bring products to life.
  • A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Bonus: experience with packaging design, supplier relationships, or work with premium or luxury consumer lifestyle brands.
