Financial Advisor – Wealth Management & Investment Sales
Location: Gainesville or Whitesboro, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Initially 100% In-Office
Compensation: Approximately $80,000 Base + Performance-Based Commission
Relocation Assistance: May be available for the right candidate
The Opportunity
An established, high-performing North Texas insurance and financial services agency is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to build and grow the investment, retirement, annuity, and life insurance side of the business.
This is not a traditional cold-start advisor opportunity.
The agency already serves approximately 10,000 existing households and manages a $40M+ property and casualty book of business, giving the Financial Advisor a substantial existing client base to develop.
The successful candidate will be expected to proactively identify financial planning and investment opportunities within that client base, uncover outside assets, create appointments, deepen relationships, and convert those opportunities into new business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an advisor who enjoys both financial planning and business development and wants access to an established client base without being limited to a service-only role.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Proactively develop investment and financial planning opportunities within an existing client base of approximately 10,000 households
- Identify outside assets and opportunities for consolidation
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients’ financial goals, retirement needs, investment objectives, and risk tolerance
- Recommend appropriate investment, retirement, annuity, and insurance solutions
- Build relationships with existing insurance clients and convert those relationships into broader financial-services opportunities
- Generate new business through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, community relationships, and client development
- Conduct ongoing portfolio and financial reviews
- Develop and grow a book of investment and financial-services business
- Partner with the agency owner on joint appointments and larger opportunities
- Educate clients on investment, retirement, insurance, and wealth-building strategies
- Maintain appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Build long-term relationships that increase client retention and overall household value
Who We’re Looking For
This position is best suited for an advisor who is comfortable creating business, not simply servicing an assigned book.
Strong candidates will have experience in areas such as:
- Asset gathering
- New client acquisition
- Prospecting and business development
- Retirement planning
- Investment advisory
- Wealth management
- Annuities
- Life insurance
- Cross-selling financial solutions
- Consolidating outside assets
You should be comfortable picking up the phone, initiating conversations, asking for additional business, and turning existing relationships into broader financial-planning opportunities.
At the same time, this is a consultative role. The successful advisor will be able to build trust, understand client needs, and develop long-term relationships rather than relying solely on transactional sales.
Required:
- Active Series 7
- Active Series 66 Series 7 + 63 + 65 may also be considered depending on background
- Prior client-facing experience in financial advisory, wealth management, investment sales, or financial planning
- Demonstrated experience with asset gathering, business development, client acquisition, or investment sales
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work initially in-office in Gainesville or Whitesboro, Texas
Strongly Preferred:
- Active Life & Health Insurance license
- Experience selling or advising on annuities and life insurance
- Measurable history of generating new AUM or new client relationships
- Experience working with affluent or mass-affluent households
- Experience at a bank, broker-dealer, RIA, wealth-management firm, or insurance-based financial-services organization
Compensation & Growth
The position offers a base salary of approximately $80,000, with some flexibility depending on experience, plus performance-based commission. Depending on production and product mix, successful advisors can have the opportunity to earn well into six figures.
The role also offers significant long-term career potential. For the right individual, there may be an opportunity to develop toward future agency ownership.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
You are not being asked to start with an empty book.
You will have access to an established agency, a strong local reputation, an experienced team, and approximately 10,000 existing households where investment, retirement, insurance, and asset-consolidation opportunities already exist.
The opportunity is ideal for someone who wants the upside of a producer role while having a substantial existing client base to work from.
